Growing strong, thinking ahead
We grow Lilies in our nursery in Heerhugowaard (The Netherlands) and cultivate summer flowers on our farm in Hawassa (Ethiopia). Our focus? Year-round supply of Gypsophila, Limonium, Craspedia, and Molucella. In our trial garden, we explore summer flowers like Delphinium, Veronica, and Lepidium ensuring we’re always evolving.

How it started
In 1907, ‘Opa Klaver’ laid the foundation for our family business, which eventually specialised in forcing lily bulbs through the guidance of our father and uncle. In the early 2000s, we – Gert-Jan and Lydia, brother and sister – took over the nursery. Not long after, we expanded our horizons – forcing not only lily bulbs in the Netherlands but also a range of summer flowers in Ethiopia. With courage and craftsmanship, we’ve built a reputation as a trusted partner in the floral industry.
Where we are now
Today, Klaver Flowers operates from two locations. A unique 14 hectare contiguous greenhouse complex for lily cultivation in the Netherlands. And a large 120 hectare production site in Ethiopia for summer flowers like Gypsophila, Limonium, Craspedia and Molucella. With a dedicated team, we rank among the largest suppliers in the industry and are the leading Limonium grower in Ethiopia, as well as the largest Gypsophila producer in Africa.
